Bing cherries are large, dark cherries originally from the Pacific Northwest. These cherries are covered in gourmet chocolate and are one of the best-loved confections of Dilettante Chocolates. Compared to the Royal cherry, these chocolate Bing cherries provide a richer cherry flavor.
Each cherry in this 5-lb bulk bag is made with local dried Bing cherries. These cherries are first dried and then undergo a process called dragée to coat them in chocolate. This process involves gently tumbling fruit in specialty revolving kettles to surround the fruit centers. The Bing cherries are first coated in milk and dark chocolate before finishing with an outer layer of milk chocolate.
The finished product is a remarkably smooth chocolate-fruit creation with a firm texture and gourmet chocolate taste. The perfect process ensures no cracks or blemishes on the chocolate shell.
Dilettante sources its premium Bing cherries from local Pacific Northwest farmers. This ensures each bite of Bing cherry delivers a savory and vibrant flavor.
Receive the best value when buying decadent chocolate fruit candy. This five-pound resealable bag will ensure plenty of chocolate-covered fruit for any home or office. Use for refilling candy dishes, save for special events and parties, or indulge personally in this irresistible chocolate fruit flavor.
My favorite treat!!!
These chocolate covered cherries are by far the BEST on planet earth! My aunt affectionately calls them "Those D@#n cherries!" Trader Joes was the source of my fix, but they no longer carry them...ahhhhhhh!!!! Now what am I going to do? I can't afford a 5lb. Bag @ $54 : ( besides, I might eat them all by myself. I will miss you Dilettante Chocolate Covered Bing Cherries, I will miss you!
We have enjoyed Chocolate covered bing cherries for a number of years. We started at COSCO but then went direct to Dilettante, now in bulk. They are always delicious!
Just one problem with these delectable chocolate covered cherries; ONE is NEVER enough!!!!!!!
These cherries are always a hit at my holiday parties. They are better-tasting than another more expensive brand that I used to purchase. I used to buy many small bags at Walmart, but they stopped stocking them. I was really pleased when I found them available in bulk on-line. Walmart lost sales by dropping this product - typical of Walmart's marketing.
